Advanced Drug Analysis

In all aspects of drug development, quality control and drug use, analytical methods for identifying and quantifying the drug substance are essential. New insight in biological mechanisms is often achieved due to improvement of the sensitivity and selectivity of the analytical tools.
The projects of this headline are various and range from use of analytical methods to elucidate absorption, identify metabolites, elucidate metabolic pathways or excretion to validation of developed methods, development of new techniques and development of new sample preparation or use of multivariate data analysis to model large amounts of data. Common of all projects, however, is that a certain amount of analytical work is required. However, the focus of projects can be directed according to your interests. As projects are often carried out in cooperation with other research groups, please contact the supervisor for further information on the overall research goal of the project.
