These regulations and guidelines are established in accordance with the Executive Order on PhD Programmes at Universities (PhD Ececutive Order) issued by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation on 14 January 2008.
The regulations apply to all PhD students enrolled at the the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences after 1 February 2008.
PhD students who have started their PhD programme before 1 February 2008 are entitled to complete their PhD research training in accordance with Executive Order No. 114 of 8 March 2002.
However, thesis assessment and defence as well as the decision to confer the PhD degree are subject to these present regulations.
Salaried PhD scholarship students are also subject to the rules of 1 October 2008 (an agreement covering salaried PhD scholarship students and settled by the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations and the Ministry of Finance).

Candidates studying under the Industrial PhD Programme are subject to special conditions (also contained in this set of regulations), which apply either in addition to or instead of these general regulations and guidelines. This programme is administered by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (see www.erhvervsphd.dk).
