
This list contains a short description of some databases that are relevant in the field of pharmaceutical education and research.
Some of these databases are available only from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences network.
Employers at PHARMA can gain remote access to the network using a so-called VPN-client. The IT-department should be contacted for further information.
Students at PHARMA can gain remote access by login with the borrower number and the pincode. The borrower number is usually the cpr-number.

REX is the library catalogue of CULIS - Copenhagen University Library Information Service.
REX contains books and journals from the Pharmaceutical Sciences Faculty Library and from other libraries at Copenhagen University.

A bibliographical database that gives access to the pharmacological and biomedical literature.
The database covers material published since 1980. EMBASE has particular strengths in the areas of drug research and toxicology, and is the database of choice for these subject areas.

Journal Citation Reports is a resource that allows evaluating and comparing journals, using citation data drawn from journals indexed in Science Citation Index and Social Science Citation Index. Citation and article counts are important indicators of how frequently current researchers are using individual journals.

SciFinder Scholar provides access to Chemical Abstracts Plus (CAPlus, bibliographic data, 1907-present), CAS Registry (chemical structures, names, and properties), CASReact (single and multistep organic reactions), MEDLINE (Biomedical citations, 1950-present) as well as ChemList and ChemCats.
The access is for The Pharmacy Faculty’s employees and students only.
Access requires a personal user registration. The self-registration of SciFinder is provided for Copenhagen University. Only current staff, faculty and students are permitted to register for access to SciFinder Web. All others are strictly prohibited from registering.
For registration, an e-mail address ending of ku.dk is requested and registration can only be done from a computer at Copenhagen University campus. Once completed the registration, login at http://scifinder.cas.org with your own SciFinder username and password. This link is working at Campus.
