The Graduate School of Drug Research

The Graduate School of Drug Research was established on the basis of a grant from the Danish Research Academy in September 1998. The Graduate School, which was located on The Royal Danish School of Pharmacy, RDSP, offered postgraduate training within pharmaceutical sciences and technology with an industrial perspective of drug research. The Graduate School of Drug Research stopped new initiatives within postgraduate education by the end of June, 2002. In July 2002 the Drug Research Academy was established by co-funding from The Danish Ministry of Science and Technology, 9 Danish pharmaceutical companies and The Royal Danish School of Pharmacy (from 1 January 2007 the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Copenhagen) with the aim to strengthen the education and training at the postgraduate level of pharmaceutical scientists in a thoroughly interdisciplinary and international manner with an industrial perspective, to strengthen the research at The RDSP and to train highly qualified pharmaceutical scientists in core disciplines related to the drug discovery and development process.
