Grants for students at PHARMA

Hjælpefonden for bachelor- and kandidat (MSc) and graduates from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Hjælpefonden distribute financial support for a variety of purposes, first and foremost to students in an acute and difficult financial situation. The maximum grant amount to be applied for is usually 10.000 kr. Applications for support in an acute and difficult financial situations will be handled on an ongoing basis and individually by the board of Hjælpefonden.

In addition it is possible to apply for a grant to co-finance study tours in Denmark and abroad, work relating to the scientific and pharmaceutical aspect of pharmacies, contribution to a yearly picnic for students as well as other purposes aiming at advancing pharmaceutical studies. Such applications must be submitted before the 1st of November and the grants will be distributed in December same year.

Finally the Dean can award students with any particularly good exams at PHARMA from Hjælpefonden.

Apoteker Julius Waels and Cand.pharm Helga Waels Fond

The fund aims among other things to support students of pharmaceutical sciences in their scientific work, especially within the area of chemistry, and to the benefit of the pharmacies. This also concerns study tours. Applications must be submitted before the 1st of November and the grant will be distributed in December same year.

Requirements to receive support to co-finance study periods abroad

The requirements you must meet in order to receive a grant are:

  • The study period abroad regarding master thesis writing must be of at least 1 month and support can be given for a maximum of 6 months.
  • Normally an amount of 1.000 kr. is awarded for each month.
  • Applications in regard to studies abroad in connection to master’s thesis work is given top priority when grants are awarded.
  • Grade point average will be taken into consideration in deciding the distribution of the grants depending on the amount of applicants.
  • A student can only receive a grant once.
  • It is not possible to apply for support for conferences and congresses.

Please note: If you have received a grant from the Deans grant pool, you must submit a feedback form regarding your experiences abroad no later than 14 days upon your return. Please return the form to Gitte Nielsen in the reception of PHARMA.

The application for all of the above mentioned grants must contain

  • Full name and address
  • E-mail address
  • CPR number
  • Reg. and account number and name of bank in Denmark
  • Short reason for application
  • Budget
  • Statement from master’s thesis supervisor, if relevant, or others
  • CV
  • Recent transcript of grade records
  • Overview of other grants applied for, if any
