Pharmacokinetics

The pharmacokinetic group is focusing on pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic, PK-PD relations particularly in patients using population based methods to broaden obtained results and conclusion to most individuals and for a further prediction of treatment changes in the individual patient. Therapy of cancer patients with individualised dose of cytotoxic drugs together with adequate support treatment for pain, emesis and fatigue are objectives of the PK-PD pharmacometrics and will support oncology pharmacy to benefit patients. Population methods are also utilised in the analysis of treatment response of new drug principles in different types of clinical pain states as well as in drug-drug interaction studies.

Current PhD projects in the pharmacokinetic group:

PhD. Student Mikkel Krogh Madsen:
Populationsbased pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamic studies on induction therapy of acute myeloic leucemia, AML

PhD. Student Trine Högh Nielsen:
Medication problems in patients with acute referral to medical wards in Denmark
