Teaching and Courses
The Section for Social Pharmacy offers a range of compulsory and elective courses under the cand.pharm. (MSc (pharm)) curriculum.
The Section for Social Pharmacy is responsible for the following compulsory courses:
- B27-1 Samfundsfarmaci/Social pharmacy
- S27-1 Faglig formidling og metode i samfundsfarmaci/Dissemination and methodology in social pharmacy
- B23-1 Lægemiddeløkonomi/PharmacoEconomics
- B29-1 Studieophold på apotek/Pharmacy internship
- T23-1 Etik/Ethics
The Section offers a variety of elective courses that are taught during the 9th term. In 2009 the following courses are offered:
- B-362 Klinisk farmaci/Clinical Pharmacy
- B-377 Kvalitetssikret lægemiddelbehandling/Quality assured drug therapy
- S-361 Kommunikation og information/Communication and information
- S-364 Metoder i samfundsfarmaceutisk forskning/Research methods in social pharmacy
- S-369 Course in International Health Care
The Section is subject leader of Line III of the MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences: Medicines and Society and responsible for the course:
The Section for Social Pharmacy conducts PhD courses on a regular basis.

- Scientific Article Writing and Critical Literature Scrutiny (2010) (to be announced)
The Master of Drug Management (MDM) is a postgraduate programme directed by the Section for Social Pharmacy. The programme encompasses a Master’s thesis in addition to various courses.
The courses are open to participants who are not enrolled for the full master’s programme.
